Little Lamppost Library

Starting with the concept of the Free Little Library, this project charged us with providing not only a fun FLL design, but also a social, usable space. The Lamppost Library allows users to easily see what items are provided through the clear sides while a turning bookcase inside allows for an increase in storage efficiency. The interior of the library lights up at night, powered by a small solar panel on the top. On the other side from the library's door, a half-circle bench provides a spot for users to read. As the LL is intended for installation on campus, the library would be useful as a communal student library for movies, games, and music, not just books.
